My passion for wedding planning didn't come from a spark of joy but rather by witnessing my best friend melt into a puddle of disappointment as she was zipped into her wedding dress. Traditionally a moment between a mother and her daughter, she stood there, zipped into her dress by her sister, her mother having been pulled into the reception hall for set up. My heart broke. I swore that I could never let another bride go through that experience. From then on, in 2016, I set off into the world of weddings as a wedding planner and I never looked back.
