Monica and Patrick | Private Estate Wedding | Culpeper, VA

When I first met Monica + Patrick on a chilly, rainy October afternoon, we bonded over espressos at a little cafe called Slipstream in Northwest DC. Monica arrived at the cafe via bicycle and Pat eventually joined us on his way back from a run. We started chatting all things wedding plans and visions. As we spoke I fell in love with this sweet couple and their wedding dreams. They envisioned bringing friends and family from up and down the coast, as well as, across the pond for an April wedding. Monica + Patrick were ready to get down to business and plan a kick-ass party that would unite their international friends with their family from the states. I loved when Monica told me that she would be wearing her aunt’s antique wedding dress. Then when they told me that they wanted to have the wedding on their own 33 acre, private farm in Rapidan, I could not have been more excited for what I knew would be a special day. The next 5 months we kicked it into high gear and planned a hell of a celebration. What I loved about the entire process was that Monica + Patrick kept their guests and family at the forefront of their plans; catering to them in the most hospitable of ways. On April 28, 2018, their big day went off without a hitch, as they welcomed 140 guests from 11 different countries to Cabin Point in Rapidan, VA.

That moment when your soon-to-be-husband gifts you with Hamilton tickets!
